Beetroot latte
Bored of turmeric, chai and matcha latte? Here’s another superfood brew that’s equally packed with nutrients and mood enhancing colours. It’s naturally sweet and doesn’t require added sugar.
Ingredients (serves 1)
2 Large beetroots, juiced (or a ready-made one - Biona and James White are good organic options)
Plant-based milk (I like Rebel Kitchen’s full fat Mylk as it froths really well)
Method
If juicing yourself, do it just before consumption to preserve the nutrients.
Heat the juice in a pan until hot, but avoid boiling it as heat destroys the nutrients.
Warm and froth the Mylk in a frother (don’t boil as it can curdle), or if you’re happy to have your drink tepid, then shake the milk bottle vigourously instead.
Pour the warm juice and Mylk into a glass.
